PRIVACY POLICY — QUICKBOOKS INTEGRATION
The Law Office of Jim Pagano
Last updated: September 14, 2026
SCOPE
This policy describes how The Law Office of Jim Pagano ("the Firm") handles data
accessed through its internal QuickBooks Online integration ("the Application").
The Application is used solely by the Firm for its own bookkeeping. It is not
offered to, sold to, or made available to the public or to any third party.
WHAT THE APPLICATION ACCESSES
The Application connects to the Firm's own QuickBooks Online company through
Intuit's official API. It may access accounting records including bills,
expenses, purchases, journal entries, invoices, payments, transactions, vendor
and customer records, chart of accounts, and financial reports.
The Application does not access QuickBooks Payroll data or payment card data.
HOW DATA IS USED
Accessed data is used exclusively for the Firm's internal bookkeeping:
recording bills and expenses, categorizing transactions, and reviewing
financial reports. It is not used for advertising, profiling, resale, or any
purpose unrelated to the Firm's own accounting.
WHERE DATA GOES
The Application runs on hardware controlled by the Firm. Authentication
credentials are stored locally on that hardware and are not transmitted to any
party other than Intuit.
The Application operates as a tool used by an AI assistant provided by
Anthropic. Accounting data retrieved from QuickBooks is transmitted to
Anthropic for processing in order to perform the requested bookkeeping tasks,
subject to Anthropic's applicable terms and privacy commitments. Aside from
Intuit and Anthropic, accessed data is not shared with any third party.
DATA RETENTION
The Application does not maintain an independent database of QuickBooks
records. Data is retrieved as needed to perform a task and is not separately
warehoused by the Application.
SECURITY
Access is restricted to authorized Firm personnel. Credentials are stored with
restricted file permissions on Firm-controlled hardware. Access can be revoked
at any time by disconnecting the Application from within QuickBooks Online or
by revoking its authorization in the Intuit developer account.
CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY
The Firm remains bound by its professional obligations regarding client
confidentiality. This integration is limited to the Firm's business accounting
records.
CHANGES
This policy may be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last
updated" date above.
